Vest Ekofisk was discovered in 1970, and the plan for development and operation (PDO) was approved in 1973. The field was developed with a combined drilling, production and living quarters facility. The field was produced by pressure depletion.Transport
The well stream was transported via pipeline to the Ekofisk Complex for further export to Emden in Germany and Teesside in the UK.Status
