6407/7-9 S is a discovery in the central part of the Norwegian Sea, 6 kilometres north of the Njord field. The water depth is 320 metres. The discovery was proven in 2016. The reservoir contains oil, condensate and gas in the in the Åre, Tilje and Tofte Formations of Early to Middle Jurassic age, and the reservoir quality varies. A joint development together with the discovery 6407/7-8 (Noatun) as a tie-in to the Njord A facility is under consideration.
